A poster for an exhibition of Vittorio's work at the Paul Waggoner Gallery

the confrontation of the pavilion of Nazi Germany with that of the Soviet Union – both characterised by a stiff monumentalism – were in direct opposition to the aim of the exhibition

1936 French Art Deco Poster - Diege Aperitif a la Gentiane (Le Monnier) Copenhagen souvenir but it sounds niceDate: 1936 Size: 31 x 47 inches Artist: Henri Le Monnier I'm fond of Le Monnier's work. He always manages to coax a wink or a smile with posters that poke fun good naturedly. Here his portrayal of a beautiful young woman with a bottle of her favorite aperitif "Dige" manages to put the product name and packaging front and center effectively and memorable. Gentiane Dige is an alcohol produced from the gentian flower grown on the mountains of Auvergne.
